We request that you please arrive 10-minutes early for your appointment to allow for the completion of any forms before seeing the Dr Titoria, particularly if you are a new patient and have not visited the Practice before. If you are running late then many other patients may be inconvenienced during the day. You may wish to phone ahead to ensure the surgery is keeping to that day’s schedule. Alternatively, you can download the paperwork using the link below and fill it out at home. You can then bring this in with you.
We always try to ensure that our appointments run to time, to ensure that you are not inconvenienced. However, on rare occasions, some of our patients with complex problems may take longer to deal with than had been anticipated and we apologise for any knock-on effect this may have.
Please bring with you to the consultation:
Letter from your referring Doctor.
Current Medicare Card/Veterans' Affairs Card.
Private Health Fund Card.
Pension Card/Health Care Card.
Any x-rays, scans or test results relating to your condition.
A list of your current medications.
Appointments with Dr Titoria are usually made many weeks or months in advance. If you cannot keep your appointment, please ring to let us know as soon as possible. Late cancellations and failure to attend appointments mean other patients waiting for appointments cannot be offered earlier times. Patients who confirm attendance and then fail to attend, will not be offered any further appointments.
On occasion, it may be necessary for Dr Titoria to examine you with specialised equipment, including the flexible nasendoscope, for the examination of noses and throats, or the microscope, for ear examination. These examinations are vital in ensuring accurate and correct diagnosis and will be discussed at the time of your appointment. No special preparation is required on the part of the patient. Please be aware, that in situations where specialised equipment must be used, an additional charge will be added to your bill.
Dr Titoria runs a privately-billing practice. Fees will be discussed with patients prior to the booking of any appointments, including any additional fees for specialised examinations and procedures. In most instances, a portion of your fee will be covered by Medicare. Dr Titoria's rooms use Medicare Easyclaim technology that means that once the fee has been paid, in full, the Medicare rebate can be paid back directly in to a patient's cheque or savings accounts almost immediately. This minimises any financial disruption for patients.
Please note, all fees must be paid in full following the Consultation.
Surgical fees are based on rates published by the AMA. A detailed quote will be given to all patients for whom surgery is recommended. A portion of this fee is claimable from Medicare and Private Health Funds (if applicable). Surgical fees must be paid in full before any planned operation. Rebates will be processed the day after the surgery.
